About Erika Jayne O'Connell

Erika Jayne is graduating from The University Of Creative Arts Farnham in July 2023 with a BA (Hons) Degree Acting & Performance . Erika Jayne is a North Lincolnshire-based actor with a variety of experiences.

Erika Jayne is currently looking forward to starting her Practice As Research combining her passion for performing with her love of history as well as looking to continue her education to achieve her Master's degree at some point in the future.  Her training has given her skills that range from Musical Theatre to the likes of Chekov and Shakespeare. 

 

Due to her training, she poses a wider range of skills than just her performance skills, with an ability to video edit, and website design as well as a further understanding of the behind-the-scenes of the creative process. Her recent projects include her 2nd-year student film, where she plays a newly qualified nurse struggling to support her patients due to the outbreak of Covid-19 and 3rd year directed piece of a troubled young girl at a crossroads whether she turns her life around or gives in to a life of addiction.

Erika Jayne spends her free time swimming, a hobby she has had since the age of 6, and ultimately achieved a Rookie Lifeguard Bronze Medallion in 2016. Other hobbies include singing which has brought her multiple awards at local festivals including a scholarship to the prestigious EYSM summer program in 2019.
